Decentral Voting Systems

A votechain is passed along from person to person. The key property is that a votechain can be evaluated as a whole without revealing information about single votes, preserving voter privacy while maintaining verifiable results.

This concept draws from cryptographic techniques like homomorphic encryption and zero-knowledge proofs to enable:

  • Vote privacy: Individual votes remain secret
  • Result integrity: The aggregate result is verifiable
  • Chain of custody: The vote passes through the network in a traceable but private manner
